Product Owner

About this position

As a Product Owner on the Global Back of Stores team, you will be instrumental in driving value through innovative solutions. Your primary focus will be to lead the product vision, ensuring it aligns with the needs of the business customers and the day-to-day realities of end users. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to explore options, define clear requirements, and set the direction for product development.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the team’s product backlog, including prioritizing user stories, refining details, and establishing acceptance criteria.
  • Provide detailed guidance to the development team for the successful delivery of products.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to understand customer needs, pain points, workflows, and priorities, and translate these into actionable features and user stories.
  • Drive iteration goals and content through prioritized user stories, ensuring alignment with the team’s objectives and customer expectations.
  • Offer product/domain knowledge that informs product enhancements, maintenance, and efficiency improvements.
  • Make product decisions, including setting functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs) and accepting user stories and iteration increments.
  • Contribute to the vision, roadmap, and return on investment (ROI) for store solutions.
  • Act as the voice-of-the-customer by engaging with stakeholders to understand and incorporate their needs into product decisions.
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
  • Lead the design and execution of effective and efficient solutions that meet business and user needs.
  • Support business change management activities to ensure the successful adoption of new products and their impacts on the client.
  • Contribute to the planning and prioritization of new capabilities, features, and outcomes in alignment with the product roadmap.
  • Manage and maintain JIRA boards to ensure features and stories meet established standards.
  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate measurable improvements or cost savings in relevant areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the product development process.

Skills/Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner
  • Strong experience in an agile/SAFe delivery framework.
  • Proven success working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to drive processes and work effectively through ambiguity.
  • Expertise in navigating team environments and leveraging firsthand experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of leadership.
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in translating customer needs into actionable product features and user stories.

Additional Information

:

  • Remote work environment
  • 6-month contract with the possibility of extending/converting

Pay/Salary Range:

  • Pay Range: $56-$70/hour
